So, Brian and I were folding laundry a day or so ago. We’re piling Jack’s boxer briefs, Joshua’s many many pairs of socks (I swear, he changes his socks three times day), Hannah’s tights and leos (that’s short for leotard, I’m given to know). Of course our own garments are in there, though it seems that about 9/10 of the laundry we do is for only 1/5 of the inhabitants (that would be Hannah). But I digress.

Anyway, we’re folding laundry. And as I’m smoothing out a pair of jeans, I notice out of the corner of my eye that Brian is holding a pair of underwear and that he’s examining them. He takes them by the waistband and considers them from another angle. They’re plain white Hanes briefs of the female variety. He puts them in Hannah’s pile.

They’re MINE. MINE.

He also tried to put my bra into Hannah’s pile a few moments later.

Do you all have any clue how happy this small event has made me? (And no, I’m not referring to my husband folding laundry; that’s a common occurrence.)

Breakfast:
[7:30]
one egg scrambled with onions, orange pepper, and some mushrooms. I considered, briefly, adding a second egg to the pan, but I decided that I’d need to decrease the amount of vegetables if I were to add another egg. With just the one egg it’s already a plateful of food I can barely finish. So I’ll try for an additional egg tomorrow and decrease the veggies.
coffee + almond milk

Lunch:
[12:30]
one apple and one pear, chunked and drizzled with almond butter, sprinkled with chopped pecans and sunflower seeds

Snack:
[3:00]
4 small dates and a handful of plantain chips

Snack:
[4:45]
1/2 C total of plantain chips, dried cranberries, and almonds
a few slices of Trader Joe’s Turkey Jerky (Fairly certain this has added sugar; I’m not finding the ingredients list online, and I’m not getting out of bed to go downstairs and check. Saving my energy for tomorrow’s WOD!)

Dinner:
[7:00]
an enormous roasted chicken breast (I mean big. Many many ounces.) and a sh*tload of steamed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, green beans, squash)

WOD: Double-under/triple-under skill work, and then AMRAP 15 minutes of 45# thrusters. I can’t get the triple yet, but I’ll keep working. 155 reps of the thrusters.
